The 3 Valleys are Meribel & Mottaret, Courchevel
& La Tania, and Les Menuires & Val Thorens.
Together they are probably France's biggest and most
popular linked ski area, with a massive variety on offer
both on and off the slopes. From the snowsure steeps
of Val Thorens to the gentle tree lined cruising of
Courchevel le Praz, via the open groomers and board
park in Meribel and Mottaret, you have more than a season's
worth of terrain and activities to explore.

Meribel is a party town! With loads of seasonaires (mainly
English), and a massive choice of bars and restaurants
to keep you entertained, the resort is ever popular
with holidaymakers from the UK. Meribel has always appealed
to a young, lively crowd. The seasonaire community is
large, with lots of tour operaters and independents
running programmes to the resort, so you definitely
won't have a problem meeting people or making friends!
From apres ski and live bands at the Rond Point, to
parties and DJs in the Pub, followed by dancing in Dicks.
Or, for a more sophisticated atmosphere, the food and
vibe in Evolution are great. Barometer or the Tav are
the best places to sit and chat over a quite beer.
Courchevel is a combination of fashionable and exculsive
party town, with down to earth seasonaire community.
Ranging from the ritz and glitz of 1850, where the valley's
most luxurious chalets are located and where the rich
and famous learn to ski, to the seasonaire community
of 1550 and Le Praz. With a massive choice of terrain
and slopes plus so much on offer for evening entertainment,
your season will never have a dull moment. In Le Praz
the pizzeria is the place to head for band nights on
Fridays or Sunday. In 1550 the Pleisure bar is where
all the seasonaires hang out, and in 1650 the Bubble
Bar is the spot to party. 1850's Kalico is the dance
floor to be seen on late at night, and the Jump is where
the seasonaires hang out.
Val Thorens and Les Menuires are the highest and most
snow sure of the 3 Valleys resorts. With cosmopolitan
French, Dutch and English communities, you have direct
access to the most extreme terrain of the area, including
the off piste route of the hidden 4th Valley. High,
snowsure, and with a choice of lively apres bars as
well as a great sports centre, Val Thorens is the ideal
choice for seasonaires looking for a more international
experience.
Les Allues and La Tania are located lower down the
valley, below Meribel and Courchevel. Linked in by direct
lift access and buses, they are ideal options for anyone
looking for a more chilled out place to be based in
the 3 Valleys. With smaller communities and a more close
knit vibe, you'll soon be at the heart of the action
and know everyone in town.

The 3 Valleys is massive. You have so much choice, your
biggest decision is where to start each day. With 200
lifts spread over 6 ski areas, 100s of miles of perfectly
groomed pistes, several snow parks, trees, steeps, loads
of accessible offpiste to progress on, and easy access
to the other 3 Valleys resorts, you're truly spoilt
for choice.
Stick around Meribel for some lovely well groomed intermediate
pistes. Mont Vallon is a great place to play in the
powder, and Mottaret has some good progressive on and
off piste runs. Val Thorens and Les Menuires offer probably
the most challenging terrain, and around Courchevel
and Le Praz, you're guaranteed to have fun in the trees.
