We really want to help you get the most out of your
winter, so here's some ideas of optional extras we can
provide for you when you stay in one of the Planet Subzero
shared chalets/apartments:
Fully equipped properties - all our properties
are fully equipped with everything you'll need to make
you feel at home for the season. This includes free
broadband internet access, phone line, TV, playstation
2, DVD, stereo, and vew-do balance board. Most of our
properties are also equipped with dishwashers and washing
machines, and all of them come with fully equipped kitchens,
linen, and comfy duvets.
Hosts in resort - Our hosts in resort are there
to help make sure you have the best possible season.
We can show you round, point out the best powder runs,
organise events for everyone to enjoy, and help out
if you need a hand with anything you don't understand
- whether it's booking a train ticket, or finding out
what the weather forecast is. If you ever have an accident,
or need to see a doctor, we will always be around to
help out, translate, and provide assistance with dealing
with insurance companies/filling in official stuff.
All our hosts have lived in the resorts they work in
for at least two seasons, so have loads of local knowledge
... We're here to help, so just ask if there's anything
you want to know.
Days out/Nights out/Trips away - Being in a
group means a ready made social life, but it can be
difficult trying to get anything organised en masse.
So - to add to the atmosphere in our chalets, we're
always happy to organise days or nights out and about.
Things that have worked for us in the last 4 seasons
include: trips to other resorts, including Val d'Isere,
Tignes, 3 Valleys, Verbier, Chamonix, trips to watch
events (eg ChamJam/ the Brits), Sunday roasts, Mexican/Tequila
night, curry night, trips to Annecy, school disco night,
international bowling tournament, piste picnics/bbqs,
Paddy's day parade, video nights, or just the local
McDonald's or beer run. All this is up to you when you're
in resort - we don't provide the entertainment (or at
least we try not to) but we're happy to line stuff up
for you as and when. Events are not for profit - so
any costs are split evenly between whoever's involved.
Heli skiing/boarding - This normally takes place
over the Italian border or in Switzerland (helitrips
are illegal in France) and can be organised to depart
from any of our resorts. Charged locally and arranged
as and when the conditions are best.
