Les Arcs is located right in the middle of the Tarantaise
valley, above the town of Bourg St Maurice and in between
Tignes-Val d'Isere and the 3 Valleys. Les Arcs is now
linked to La Plagne for the, making up Paradiski, one
of the biggest linked ski/board areas in the world.

Les Arcs is divided into 6 villages, each with their
own character and atmosphere. The Planet Subzero shared
properties are all located in Vallandry, the most friendly,
laid back and attractive of the Arcs. It doesn't take
long to become part of the community, and with English
and Dutch companies operating hotels and bars in the
resort, there are plenty of other seasonaires to meet
and make friends with. Nightlife in Vallandry centres
around the 2 UK bars 'The Flying Squirrel' and 'The
Mont Blanc', plus the Dutch bar, Jimmy's. Plus two new
bars - Maxima and Shiva. There's everything you'll need
within a 5 minute walk from either of our properties
(supermarket, pharmacy, laundrette, tabac, restaurants,
cinema etc) and the bars and clubs of Arc 1800 are easily
accessible on foot for big nights out in Benjy's, the
Red Hot Saloon, or Apokalpse.

Not to be overshadowed by its more famous neighbours,
we genuinely reckon that Les Arcs/La Plagne is France's
best ski area, with impressive variety of terrain that's
seriously hard to beat. There really is something for
everyone - from the steeps and cliffs of the Aiguille
Rouge, the powder bowls and tree runs above Vallandry
and Arc 1600, to the board park and groomers around
Arc 1800. Plus not forgetting La Plagne's North face
of the Bellecote and great half pipe.
Les Arcs and La Plagne both have amazing off-piste,
and (fortunately) don't attract the crowds of some nearby
resorts - so the powder's all yours! The snow record
is excellent and with loads of trees it also stays very
well protected. As a place to spend the season, we reckon
it's ideal for anyone - from complete beginners through
to the sponsored pro. There's plenty of new challenges
to keep you occupied for many seasons, not just one
- and with loads of good skiers and boarders around,
there's also lots of opportunity to watch and learn.
As we live near the chalets, we're around to give you
guided tours of the area, point out the good powder
runs, and generally make sure you have the best possible
time.
