Val d'Isere and Tignes make up probably the most famous
ski area in the world - L'Espace Killy. 2000m is where
some resorts end, but in Val d'Isere and Tignes, it's
where it all just starts. With so much terrain to explore,
Espace Killy riders have one of the world's greatest
snow playgrounds on their doorstep - miles and miles
of beautifully groomed pistes up to 3600m, massive offpiste
potential, great snow, and two of Europe's best snow
parks to play in. Easy to see why the area's so popular!
Val d'Isere and Tignes are both well known for their
lively nightlife. They're big, friendly resorts, with
loads of seasonaires of all nationalilties - and with
all the bars right on your doorstep, it doesn't take
long to meet people and make friends.
The Planet Subzero properties in Val d'Isere are located
in La Daille, right on the slopes and within easy reach
of the main town centre (either by foot or regular bus),
so you have loads of options of where to head for an
apres ski beer or a big night out. Everything is within
easy walking distance, and with a huge Brit influence,
you won't be short of choice for lively English speaking
pubs and bars. Try the Pacific bar for apres beers and
big nights out, Cafe Fat for bacon sarnies and coffee,
Over in Tignes, the resorts are divided into different
villages, spread along the length of the valley floor.
Linked by a free bus service that runs 24 hours a day,
you'll never be stranded at the end of a night out.
In Le Lavachet, you have the well know and lively Harry's
bar. In Le Lac, you have the Alpaka (great for cocktail
happy hour), the Loop, Angel Bar, and Jacks. And in
Val Claret are the well know Crowded House and Fish
Tank bars. Our properties are located in Val Claret,
right on the snow, and within a couple of minutes' walk
of all the bars and shops. Getting around is easy, with
24hour buses linking the 3 main resorts in Tignes.
Tignes and Val d'Isere are big, high, big, snowsure
and, well, big! L'Espace Killy is well reputed for it's
miles of perfectly groomed pistes, gnarly off-piste,
year long glacier skiing and huge, huge lift access.
Val d'Isere and Tignes are understandably among the
world's most popular resorts. With an unbeatable snow
record, a massive park and pipe, plus face after face
of potential powder runs, the resorts are a haven for
both skiers and boarders of all standards. High speed
lift access throughout the whole Espace Killy area makes
exploring the area easy - but even in a lifetime of
seasons, you will never discover all the places there
are to go ...
