WEEKS 19 & 20
SNOW AND CHALET REPORT

Les Arcs & Tignes

The last couple of weeks have been last everythings as the resort's wound down to a close.

The last night of the blanc was a huge one, with 2 days of day time drinking to finish the bar stocks and ease into the hangover. Followed swiftly by the last day of the lifts and the closing down of the Marlu and the Dahu.

Eleanor, Steph and Judge headed over to say good bye to the guys in Tignes, and ended up on a dancing mission with the pole in Jack's. Think the Tignes crew have definitely had a great season, and with Pete, Pete, Harris and Ian all heading back for next season, the resort'd better watch out.

Lou, Alison, Sam and Steph spent a day in Annecy, soaking up the sun, and admiring the stunning old town, and the final end of season send off was a big lunch in the Blanche Muree, followed by a picnic and beers in the trees above 69 so we could ride down after the lifts shut. Sadly Eleanor's last run of the last day was marred by a broken leg and a helicopter off the mountain (get well soon!), but the hardcore stayed on and rode down long after dark to say a final farewell to the season.

A last night up in 1800 saw off the bowling alley and the Red Hot Saloon, with depleted numbers as everyone headed home in dribs and drabs. With the chalets finally cleaned up and closed down, the resort now feels like a ghost town ... Hope to see everyone over the summer, and can't wait til next season already!

Over in Chamonix and Tignes, there are a couple of weeks left of the season before they have to pack up and head off too :o(
