WEEK 3
SNOW AND CHALET REPORT
And finally ... SNOW ...
So finally it's SNOWED!!! LOTS!!! Very
pleased to see the permanent grins on everyone's faces
now that the powder's here and we've had 3 great days
in a row. And it's dumping again right now. Tomorrow
... can't wait.

Most improved rider so far has to go to
John - who's gone from tentative beginnings 3 weeks
ago, to following close on our tails (with Matt), down
some of the Les Arcs's best offpiste runs. Shame they
haven't yet learnt to navigate the trees - wish I'd
had a camera when we turned round to see John hanging
upside down in a bush, and Matt with his board off trying
to swim through the snow. Sorry guys! Looking forward
to seeing 360s off 20 foot cliffs by the end of the
season ...

Rhod and Dave2 made their first steps
into riding powder yesterday, and Katie's about to hit
the slopes again - this time on skis - after the broken
wrist a couple of weeks ago has put boarding on hold.
Rob's twisted knee is is the only thing stopping him
for a couple of days, but looking gooooood on the new
board (... and bindings, and boots). Another one to
watch for suddenly looking like a pro.

The atmosphere's definitely changed since
the snow arrived ... a week ago the challenge was to
stay up latest and party hardest ... now the hardcore
are in bed at 8.30pm and up again for first lifts every
morning. Wonder how long it'll last!
Huge Sunday roast planned tonight to feed
the starving masses, then a day in Val d'Isere on Wednesday,
and possible heli-skiing/boarding on Thursday. Loving
it!
Snow news ...
Everything is SO much better when it's
covered in fluffy white stuff. Had about 40cm over the
last couple of days, followed by 2 days of blue skies
and endless powder runs. Such a hard life. Snowing again
now (Sunday 3.30pm) at 1700m and dumping at 2000m. Can't
wait for tomorrow!
