WEEKS 9 & 10
SNOW AND CHALET REPORT
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Les Arcs
It's hard to believe that everyone's been
in Les Arcs for 6 weeks already. January flew by in
a blur, and with Snowbombing and the first month of
carnage under our belts, life has settled down into
more of a routine. Get up, go up the mountain all day,
go to the pub, go home, eat, go out to the pub, go home,
go to bed, get up, go up the mountain all day, go to
the pub ... Anyone would think it was boring!
Most people have finally taken a couple
of days off and slowed down the pace a bit. And now
that everyone's got to know Les Arcs better, the guys
have been exploring the La Plagne side too. Aside from
an icy run back to the last lift, the conditions over
there are fab too and it's great to have a whole new
mountain to explore.
Phil is now back on form having rested
his ankle for a week, although unfortunately Barry's
muscle injury has meant he's had to make an early trip
home. Hope to see you back here soon!
Ten of us have been on a road trip over
to Tignes for the day, which didn't do much for Rob's
hangover, although it was great to get out of resort
for a day and check out another place. The Moog? Explain
...We've also been cross country skiing down at the
bottom of the Bellecote glacier. Great way to keep fit
and check out the scenery too.
Thursday's bluebird day was a stunner,
with Judge, Steph, Gary and Susannah making the most
of the day to put some sweet turns in the Grive (see
photo above), and Tuesday night saw us back in the Marlu
for the return of Bouga ... Alison has become their
biggest groupie, with 'Bouga Rocks' banners n all.
